Horse Fever Showcases Art and Equestrian Culture
Horse Fever describes a cultural project in Ocala and Marion County as well as the general appreciation most of its residents have for equestrian culture in this special area of Central Florida.
Whereas some cities in this country have artfully decorated pigs, manatees, angelfish or cows on display, Ocala has decorated horses. Originally begun in 2000 with the founding of the Marion Cultural Alliance, Horse Fever galloped back onto the scene 10 years later with another round of art-enhanced horse forms, sponsored by the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owners’ Association (FTBOA).
