James and the Giant Peach
Overview
In England, poor young orphan James has an unhappy life with his two cruel aunts until he meets a quirky gang of insects. James and his new friends escape and set sail on an amazing adventure: a journey of delicious dangers and delights across the ocean to New York City – in a magical flying peach. Richard R. George’s creative dramatization of the beloved tale by Roald Dahl is full of fantasy, whimsical imagination, and colorful characters. This youth production is performed by a cast of students ages 11-17.
