Tourism Leadership in Ocala/Marion County
Consistent with Florida law, the Tourist Development Council (TDC) is a nine-member council appointed as an advisory committee to the Marion County Board of County Commissioners. TDC members oversee the tourist development tax funds, provide direction on programs/budgets and review the expenditures of the Ocala/Marion County Visitors and Convention Bureau.
Meet the Tourist Development Council
The TDC meets once a month at the Ocala/Marion County Visitors and Convention Bureau. If you are interested in receiving the agenda packet for the TDC meetings monthly or the link to watch the meetings virtually, please reach out to the VCB team to be placed on the distribution list.
The TDC is structured to include:
- 1 Marion County Commissioner
- 2 elected officials representing municipalities (one must be from most populous city)
- 3 owners or operators of accommodations
- 3 at large members interested in the tourism industry
