By driving tourism to the area, the Visitors and Convention Bureau works with the Ocala/Marion County Chamber & Economic Partnership to promote the positive attributes of our destination, increase economic growth, and help raise the quality of living for our fellow residents.
Ocala/Marion County Visitors And Convention Bureau
We here in the Ocala/Marion County Visitors and Convention Bureau are dedicated to increasing tourism, helping our area’s attractions, hotels and restaurants, and promoting economic growth within our beautiful county. How do we do it? With funds raised by the Tourist Development Tax (TDT).
Sometimes referred to as the Tourist Tax, the TDT is a local sales tax that applies exclusively to the rental of rooms and accommodations for six months or less. The funds collected from this tax are used to enhance Ocala/Marion County as a tourist destination. This helps generate more tourism, which in turn pumps more money in our local economy.
With around 80% of jobs in Florida relating to tourism, promoting tourism helps everyone succeed. Help us by supporting the VCB in making Ocala/Marion County an incredible destination to visit, work in and live.
Ocala/Marion County Chamber & Economic Partnership
The Ocala/Marion County Chamber & Economic Partnership (CEP) was formed to create a consolidated effort for business retention, attraction and creation efforts in county. Working together with partners and community investors, they continue to improve the quality of life and build a strong base for economic development in Marion Count
